I started this painting in 1981, my final year at RISD. I was never able to finish it. I never liked it, but I wouldn’t throw it away either. I recently took it out of storage and began working on it again, and it blossomed into “The Flowers of Evil”.

The original oil painting is 20” x 24” but it didn’t translate well onto the website, so I’ve used details of the four corners instead.
